One of the best parts of campaigning is meeting new voters, and John will make it to every neighborhood this summer to speak with voters.

To help keep him on schedule and ensure he doesn’t miss an important event, we’re looking for 3-4 volunteers to help populate our campaign calendar. These volunteers will be responsible for identifying potential conflicts in scheduling, provide us with the main contact information for the group or event, and confirm whether John will have the opportunity to speak or field questions.

John will be seeking the endorsement of dozens of groups during the campaign — from neighborhood groups and legislative districts, to labor committees and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce.

Since need to make sure the endorsement documents are filled out correctly and submitted on time, we are looking for 8 volunteers who are organized and want to learn more about the issues facing our city today.

We will also be seeking the endorsement of Seattle’s six legislative districts, so if you have any experience with a particular district we would love to hear from you. Organizing in your district is a great way to meet new neighbors and learn about your community.

Every campaign needs to bring money in the door in order to be as active and involved this summer as possible.

Whether you want to hose a house party (it’s fun and easy, promise), staff our check-in table at fundraisers, or help the campaign send out thank you notes to donors, we need your help. We’re looking for at least 5 volunteers to start, but the more the merrier.

Over the coming months, Seattle news outlets will publish hundreds of stories about the council elections, and we need to make sure John’s message come through loud and clear. We’ve already received a ton of requests campaign merchandise, and we’re now working to put in orders and make Vote Roderick t-shirts, hats, and pins a reality.

We need 5-10 people to help us get all this merchandise out the door in a timely fashion.
